Burning Rope

Burning Rope are a band born from the ashes of multi award-winning
blues rock band Catfish, following the sad loss of their frontman and
guitarist Matt Long to cancer in October 2024. Paul Long on keyboards
and vocals, and Adam Pyke on bass, along with regular Catfish dep
drummer Mitch Weaving, wanted to continue to play and write music, so
have come together as Burning Rope along with the excellent
Gloucestershire-based guitarist Alex Voysey.
Their first gig was at a sold-out Tuesday Night Music Club in April 2025,
followed by gigs across the country and appearances at Upton and Colne
festivals. Their debut album was released in October 2025.
