Hi Committee!
Committees are not known for successful creations but you lot are
something else! We were festival virgins but what a splendid first
experience. We cant fault a thing from venue through food and drink to
the main thing - the music. Please, please get Matthew Lee back before I
die! Never seen such talent linked to high energy before.
Only one thing to sort - a size LARGE T shirt (the blue version) which
had sold out by the time I dragged myself away from the music. Can you
help or do I get in touch with cartoonz?

Some things i really liked about this festival
No security fencing around the main stage
Only a few stalls, but all the necessities were provided
Only one stage, but a quick turn around
The informality of it all
The bands
The god weather
The last one was just lucky
But the others were down to you guys

Just a note to say thanks to everyone involved in the superb
organisation of your wonderful festival last weekend. As first time
visitors to 'Linton,' our friends who have been several times before,
told us how good it was, what an understatement it was Brilliant! We
were totally knocked out, the whole event was sheer quality, the bands,
the sound systems, the local food and caterers, well done Cornwalls for
their excellent pork pies and burgers, real food!, and finally the
friendly bar staff who worked so hard throughout the weekend dispensing
quality real ales and ciders.
The natural amphitheatre provides everyone a good view of the stage,
better than many football stadia. This event is a great tribute to the
organisers for allowing families to bring their youngsters in FOC and
introducing them to live music. Everyone was so friendly as were the
bands who freely mingled amongst the crowd. Talking to the boys from
Vulnerable Thing they were overwhelmed by the friendly atmosphere and
the appreciative comments from everyone, they really enjoyed themselves.
Thanks 'Linton for a fantastic weekend and thanks to all the wonderful
people with whom we had the pleasure of sharing their company and love
of live Music.

Hey Martin, thanks for saving that ticket for me. I really had a great
time and Dr Feelgood still do the same as they ever did to me. Didn't
stay for the last band as I wanted to leave on a high and didn't want to
drive back in the dark, but next year I might try and make the whole
festival and camp.
Shame I missed Otis Grand on Sunday as he rocks too!

Congratulations on a great festival! It is the first time we have been
to Linton and were impressed by the organisation and atmosphere. The
weather certainly helped.
An impressive line-up of beers. Any chance of barrels of cider or a
local Perry next time?
Good selection of food which was popular.
Great music and Mike Sanchez gave 110% as always.
Well done. Keep up the good work, and I hope you made plenty of money
for your charities and local causes.

Just recovering from a great weekend. This is the 5th one we’ve be on to
and I
have to say that yesterday (Sunday} was probably a day we will never
forget.
Planned to only stay a couple of hours to see Otis Grand, but arrived at
12:30
and could not drag ourselves away unit 9:00PM. The highlight for us was
Gandalf
Murphy, but what a 1ineup for the rest of the day.
The headline act on Saturday night was not really our thing, as we
prefer
blues, folk and rock, rather than rock and roll, but it certainly did
not spoil
a very memorable experience.
The organization was impeccable and a better selection of boors and in
better
condition than .1 remember from previous years.
Our thanks to all the organizers and helpers, We will be back next year
and
will in touch chor tly tickets for 22nd August as well.

We just wanted to say what a great nite (friday) - excellent music, very
professional set up, well organised, ideal venue with stage and seating
perfectly situated and a pleasure to go back for the second year!
Pork rolls and all the food/drink tents were fantastic, and the music
(in particular Dr Feelgood and Nine Below Zero) were great.

Dear Festival People
Some feedback from our visit,
Fantastic music!!!
Good food, great beers, nice prices
But the camping was NOT in the same field as last year it was one field
over and very close to the motorway and consequently it was very noisy
at night - not enjoyable.
We came to relax, listen to good music, eat and drink, NOT listen to
some fat guy trying to auction off tacky stuff - impressed even if it
was for a good cause. Idea put them in a stall in one of the side tents.

Firstly let me compliment you on running what must be one of the cutest
but most professional of Festivals in the country. As a seasoned
festival goer I think it is great and everyone should pat them
themselves on the back, BUT [sorry!],some of the photographers really
began to tick me off, especially those with huge cameras wandering round
like lonely buffaloes
J noted the singer in nine below zero, did ask them to stop. But I felt
the americans were
way to polite to say anything, even when some of them were pushing their
long lenses inches in front of their faces and snapping away.I observed
one chap lying on the ground in some absurd position for lO minutes with
his finger OVER the lenst! but even if his finger wasn't over the lens I
would have found it bizarre behaviour. Maybe I am out of step and people
regard this as normal what do you think? You can tell me next year.

Thanks for a great festival it's the fourth year running I've been and
not a bad one yet, I particularly enjoyed the Italian Jerry Lee Lewis
and hopefully you'll get him back some time. I'm very envious of you
being able to indulge your whims of who to book for the festival but
luckily most of the time I'm in total agreement with your
choices, and also for all the hard work you put in you deserve some whim
gratification!!!
I have one minor observation / irritation - would it be possible to ask
the photographers to stop running round like demented lemmings amongst
the people dancing. I'm not a kill joy [at least I don't think so] and I
can understand people want to take pictures in moderation, but the need
to take hundreds of pictures at numerous angles including up nose shots
and lying in ridiculous shooting position I feel unnecessary. I know the
singer from Nine Below Zero got quite pissy with one guy who had a
camera shot right in his face for most of the performance. Also several
of the people dancing around commented on how irritating some of the
photographers were.
Back to the positive it's a great festival and I APPRECIATE ALL THE
ORGAN ISATION THAT GOES INTO IT.

Two of my favourite festival bands are Jon Amor and Trevor Burton band
any chance of checking them out during whim indulgence time?

Hi,
We came to your festival today and on the whole had a really good time,
the music was excellent. I bought 2 small children with me and would
like to add that it really did feel as though they were not very
welcome, the 'keep your children under control' announcement was I
thought rather off putting especially as you say you are a family event.
Perhaps a small area where children are allowed to be children rather
than be seen but not heard?
That aside, thank you for an enjoyable day.

Just to say congratulations on another successful festival. We come most
years with four friends and we love it, great organisation! I was a
little concerned with the lack of hand washing facilities and the use of
gel only in the toilets, it’s used in between certain procedures, on
entrance and exit into wards and department, but never after visiting
the b fluids. This is because it’s not effective against certain
bacteria's which are also present in the community.

Highlights were Key Frances & Gandalf Murphy, please try & get them back

I thought there were too many Bands that sounded the same, viz the three
on Friday night & The Duke Joints were all much of a muchness. Obviously
there is a strong R&B following in your Committee!

Hello
Just had to put pen to paper so to speak, and put our thoughts down
regarding our first visit to Linton. We travel quite a bit to various
fests here and there and have recently invested in a folding camper so
we now manage to get our creaking bones off the lumpy ground! The
camping bit was great by the way. We were at The Rhythm Fest last year
and of course were bowled over by Gandalf so just had to come to your
fest this year, has to be a first time does’nt there, won,t be the
last!!
Now for the superlatives - great bunch of people, lovely surroundings,
superb organisation - food, beer Etc. As for the line up of bands, truly
wonderful and something for everyone without doubt. We can't stop
talking about Key Frances and have been playing his
cd's continuously. To have been so close to the band was such a
privilege ditto Joziah Longo and Co. Having seen the Beatles and all
that stuff, to discover new music that creates such emotion is truly a
wonderful experience.
Thankyou very much for a fab weekend. We will meet again. See you at the
Rhythm Festival.

Just returned from this years fest.., a long 6hr drive!!
Anyway-glad we made the effort to come down-was well worth it.... from
the moment we arrived at the camp site and our cararvan got stuck-Rob
towing us up-field to a more suitable spot. .to leaving--cant say
anything other than we had a great time.
Some observations... The Bands..... well tbh---for a festival of this
size---- there was no duffers at all.. .and to get the likes of Key
Frances and (personally the whole reason for us going) Gandalf Murphy...
WOW--- bl000dy well done!
The Mowtown caper--well not TOO sure about that--but seemed to go down
well enough, but nobody in the camp site we spoke to felt it was their
cup ot tea.
Stewards.... brillliant.Nowt else..just really really good and
enthusiastic people.
The Beer. . a good selection at reasonable prices.No complaints.
Food.... weli a bit limited I suppose...and with our lass preferring
veggie...but..space being as it is etc etc. Good job we brought some
bait ourselves.
The Auction well yer bugger I seen our son on stage being held up as if
he was being auctioned... I shouts down from the bar area.. .waving my
hands frantically.... Whoa whoa--- thats my boy! Up here! Next thing --heres
a lady asking me for 20 quid for the most hiddeous pair of dolls in the
land!!! Apparently I won the auction or something!!! 20 quid to get me
lad back eh!!! (well it was 10 actually cos thats all ihad left!! What a
hoot that.
Met some really lovely people and a few old festies we' ye known for a
while.. .had good sing-song back at camp which was nice.
Overall--- a really enjoyable time esp with no stalls selling the usual
arraay of shite---that was a pleasant change.
Only downside.... the twat of a bloke down the front who was about to
clip Larmer for knockmg into him with his Larmer Mobile I saw it
happen---and I tell yer... if he'd have touched a hair on him--- he
would still be in Hereford General, I laced into him (verbally) --tbf---i
was pissed--well pissed.. but the boy is only 3 and couldn’t help it,
Tok the edge off the night a bit---but the steward who came over was
very very good about it and calmed it all down,..so no harm done in the
end.
Well---there you go.. .might see you next year--or sooner if any of you
going to some fests during the summer... please look out for the ORANGE
MAN flying and say hello!

Thank you very much for the great time - we really enjoyed the setting,
the audience, the excellent sound and your hospitality. (The weather

I thought I would just send you a e-mail to thank you for such a
brilliant festival last weekend. It was my first time and I very much
hope it will not be my last. The setting was brilliant, great food and
beer and you got the sun to shine as well!
I thought the line up on Saturday was particularly good with four
superb bands with distinctly different styles - a well chosen line up.
Sherman was superb - I have seen him many times and he is an artist who
needs to be motivated by the audience or by other players - he had both
on Saturday and proved he is truly world class.

Just to say what a superb festival last weekend and thanks to all the
hard working organisers. First time we've been but if the line up next
year is anything like as good we will be back for sure. Only went for
the Saturday - all the bands were good and Sherman Robertson put on a
stunning performance.

I am writing to thank you all for a fantastic day on Sunday, my family
and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at your festival.
It was clear that a great deal of time had been invested in the event.
From the moment we arrived, there was a warm reception from the ticket
sellers, and everyone from the ice cream lady to the acts themselves
were totally committed to the ethos of ensuring a spectacular day.
My husband and I thought everything was very well organised with
security, first aid, stewards and car parking. The chick pea curry,
strawberries and cream, not to mention the ales were extremely
enjoyable. There was a really good atmosphere with all the other
festival goes too!
I can assure you that we will be in attendance next year, and shall be
passing on the details when they are published to all our friends,
family and colleagues With regard to your request for feedback, all I
can say is more! Having since looked at your website it was also
refreshing to read about the donations made to local charities and 2004
award to the Alma Inn.

Just a quick line to say how much we enjoyed it last Saturday 18th at
the Blues festival. Everything was perfect - including the weather! We
travelled from Cambridge and we were very impressed by how well
organised and efficient everything was - the beers were particularly
good (especially the "Bitter & Twisted"), as was the food, and all
in a lovely setting - what more could you ask for! Once again, thanks
for giving us a great day - see you next year.

Quick word of congratulations – the site design, presentation and
navigation is excellent and spot on for this task. Too many times I see
clunky, difficult to use or navigate sites chock full of gizmos and
whiz-bangs. Why do folks forget that the message is what is important
not the technology used to represent it?

A big thank you from three of us who travelled West from Cambridge to
attend the nicest, friendliest, cleanest, quality music festival we
have ever been to. You have a great set up with marvellous staff /
volunteers in a fabulous setting with great beer and great music.
Nothing to complain about especially as it was all in a good cause
(well...OK the strawberry portions were a bit mean for £2 a time)
and with the weather so kind it was a true privilege to be there. So,
thanks again...you should be proud of bringing so much enjoyment to so
many people.
