Representatives of 12 local charities and groups gathered at the Alma Inn, Linton on 10 November to receive donations totalling £10,000. The money was raised as a result of the Linton Festival® held earlier in the year in June 2011.

David Long, Chairman of the festival organising committee, presented the cheques. During the presentation he wished members of the nominated charities continued success in their money raising efforts.

The festival chairman thanked the festival sponsors for their continued support and made special mention of other, groups and members of the local community for their help and support of the annual music event.

A total of £10,000 was presented to various charities, groups and organisations.
